Everyone wants to make sure that this amazing and beneficial service is performed by professionals and under the industry's highest guidelines and protocols. The facts are ultrasound sessions done throughout the United States are performed by RDMS Registered or Registry eligible Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographers using FDA approved equipment under appropriate guidelines. So here is the question Governor Rell and her assembly conveniently failed to answer:
If an ultrasound session is performed by an RDMS Registered or Registry eligible Diagnostic Ultrasound Sonographers (just like in the medical field), using FDA approved ultrasound equipment, under the industry's highest guidelines and protocols at a OB/GYN office, hospital, medical imaging facility or a "credible" elective ultrasound imaging facility, what makes it safe at one place and unsafe at another?
Now ask yourself a few questions:
1. Do you find it illogical that although the Governor and her assembly was presented facts from the FDA and ACOG that their findings and research have never produced any adverse affects from ultrasound to the mother or fetus, yet based on their "concerns" they feel it their right to take away your rights to have this service done through a reputable elective ultrasound facility that upholds the industry' highest standards and guidelines?
2. Is Governor Rell and her assembly playing politics with your rights? Are they ignoring the overall facts from the FDA and ACOG for their political gain?
3. If Governor Rell and her assembly are so concerned about the exposure to ultrasound, why wouldn't they just ban ultrasound for all purposes?
If you believe the Governor of Connecticut senselessly has abused her powers to take away the rights of expectant mothers and that other politicians in your home State are capable of taking away your rights to have this amazing bonding experience from your baby, then please take the time to sign our petition. You will find it at www.MyUltrasoundMyChoice.com. It just takes a moment to participate in preserving your rights.
Thank you.
